Elizabeth and I were cleaning the kitchen tonight when Nathan started to scream. He had tried to open a folding chair and sit on it. Well he didn't get it opened all the way and when he sat down he pinched his ring & middle finders in the fold of the metal legs. After icing it they are still quite red & swollen. I think he will be ok. It may break him of sucking his fingers when he sleeps because it is the two fingers he sucks at bedtime. We'll see what happens tonight!

You may be wondering why we had a folding chair in the kitchen. Well our dinning room set is a severe eye sore! We have been given or purchased for VERY cheap (like $25 dollars) FOUR dinning room sets since we got married. The four tables have survived and are still in used in various rooms of the house or have been given away to others who needed a table. The chair situation however are very sad!! We have 2 matching from one set, another 3 from a different set, and two lone chairs from two different table sets. If you ad that up we only have 7 chairs and 8 in our family. So we have to use a folding chair for the 8th person. It is quite a sight seeing us eat dinner because we have a table that only seats 6 and all 8 of us squeeze around it at breakfast and dinner. We keep saying that once Phil gets a job one of our first purchases will be a dinning room table set that can easily seat 8 or more! If you know of anyone giving away a new/barely used table and 8 chair set pass them our name! :-)

Hi Reeses,

This is Kristen Armstrong (Varner). I was your campus kid while I was at NBBC. I am trying to get a picture of which child is which in all of your stories, but am not quite remembering them all. N-ways, you sure do never have a dull moments as a mother. Sounds like you have a lot of fun at your house as well as many adventures. N-way, I just wanted to say hey and that I do check your blog. Tell you kids hey and your husband as well. I am not sure if the kids will remember me though.

Kristen, I'm so excited you found my blog! The kids in order of oldest to youngest: Elizabeth '96, Sam '97, Caleb '99, Thomas '01, Philip '03, Nathan '05. I cannot remember what years you were here but hopefully their birthyears will help trigger your memory. I'm sure your mom has plenty of stories too! :-) Although she had more girls and I think haveing 5 boys between the ages of 9 & 2 causes our life to stay on the edge! :-)
